Speaker / Speeches
Keynote:
Evolving user acquisition and monetization

Reinout te Brake, CEO GetSocial, Chairman of the Board iQU, Managing Partner GWC Investments
Within the billions of mobile users globally, each user spans a social-sphere entailing content, social-graphs, interactions, behavior and context across networks, channels and integrated apps. The redundancy of monetization tools imposes data fragmentation prohibiting game developers (and other app developers) from obtaining the full funnel picture.
In this talk Reinout shares approaches and technologies used to leverage on the above data to create coherent user models, and discuss how they are facilitating these approaches to evolve our smart-invites engine.

Programmatic Advertising / Automation in mobile advertising

Frank Bachér, Managing Director Northern Europe Rubicon Project

How Programmatic Advertising Can Help Publishers to Monetize their Mobile Traffic
  • The internet usage on mobile devices exceeded the desktop usage already 2014
  • Publishers are seeing a significant increase in mobile inventory and mobile traffic is growing much faster than desktop traffic
  • But the mobile advertising investment is still anaemic when compared to other channels
Programmatic advertising has changed the face of the digital advertising within a few years. Programmatic advertising offers already today many ways to monetize mobile traffic: Real time bidding, private marketplaces, guaranteed orders and high impact formats in combination with data gives publishers the tools to significantly increase revenues on their mobile inventory. And advertisers have an efficient way to reach specific target groups with native advertising and location-based services on an ubiquitous device via programmatic advertising.

Incentives for App Developers - Remuneration models for long term relationships

Kai Bodensiek, Attorney and partner Brehm & v. Moers

Today applications are in most cases not developed in-house but rather by external development service providers. Monetization in the mobile realm is usually a matter of time and fine tuning. While in the past developers were only required until the launch of a software title, today an experienced permanent development team ("live team") is an important key for the success of entertainment and industry applications. While traditional remuneration models like monthly flat fees or revenue share deals may still be a valid option at some point different models have been seen in the market over the past years. Those different remuneration models can if they are well designed and adapted depending on the exploitation stage of the applications, become a large incentive for the developer to support the exploitation and the success of project. However, the wrong remuneration model may cause the developer to loose interest in the project and to pull away valuable resources.

The talk will provide a short overview over the different models experienced in the markets for industrial and entertainment apps in the past years.

Mobile Apps-Advertising on TV – Is it worth it?

Volker Dressel, General Manager Quaid Media

With $15 million being spent on mobile game advertising on TV during the 2015 Super Bowl - with zero spent the previous year - something has fundamentally changed in the world of mobile user acquisition. In this session, Quaid Media CEO Volker Dressel will draw upon case studies, research and data to examine what has driven this change, as well as exploring why TV is fast becoming the new frontier for app marketing, and how developers can harness the power of TV to market their apps and acquire new users.
